Denmark Street in London’s Soho is a world famous destination for music aficionados of all kinds. With store after store selling musical instruments of all kinds, it was a hotbed of recording studios, clubs and music venues in what was the heart of swinging London. The street still has attitude although the corporate buildings seem to be taking over and Regent Sounds is one of these music stores still proudly serving the musos. It was perfect drawing subject matter, with an elegant façade featuring old and new signage and an intriguing interior. I paid careful attention to the typography in the drawing to ensure that the logos and names were recognisable.
